Poetry and Photo Break…

Thursday seems as good a day as any for a day of favorites.

Photograph, “Dune” by the late Ruth Bernhard.
Poem by Audre Lord

Woman, Audre Lord

I dream of a place between your breasts
to build my home like a haven
where I plant crops
in your body
an endless harvest
where the commonest rock
is moonstone and ebony opal
giving milk to all of my hungers
and your night comes down upon me
like a nurturing rain.

  1. So beautiful

  2. You go from blowing the Marlboro Man to Audra Lord poetry. One just never knows what to expect on your blog now do one?

  3. I am shy & bold,
    independent & needy,
    social & reclusive.

    Queer.
    An Enigma.
A consumer of green goddess smoothies.

And I love poetry, photography and women…and all three together is especially fine.

But not Marlboro men – no use for those.
